Equipment Operation
: Operate X-ray and CT scanners, adjust settings for optimal image quality, and perform warm-up sequences.
Image Acquisition
: Capture high-quality diagnostic images (X-rays, CTs) of specific body parts as per physician orders.
Radiation Safety
: Strictly follow protocols (lead shields, ALARA principle) to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
Quality Assurance
: Evaluate image quality, repeat scans if necessary, and consult with radiologists for further imaging needs.
Documentation
: Maintain accurate patient records, logging images into Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
Equipment Maintenance
: Perform routine checks, calibration, sterilization, and report malfunctions.
Collaboration
: Work with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
