Perform high-quality X-ray imaging procedures according to physician orders
Prepare and position patients for imaging to ensure proper technique and safety
Operate radiologic equipment and adjust settings to obtain clear images
Ensure all equipment is maintained, cleaned, and functioning properly
Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective gear when required
Verify patient identity and review medical history before procedures
Assist patients with limited mobility and provide compassionate care
Maintain accurate patient records and upload images to PACS systems
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and medical staff
Comply with HIPAA and hospital policies regarding confidentiality
Perform additional diagnostic tasks if trained (e.g., fluoroscopy, portable X-rays)
Qualifications
State license or certification as an X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist (required)
Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT certification (preferred or required depending on state)
Previous experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting (preferred)
Knowledge of anatomy, imaging techniques, and radiation safety
Basic computer and PACS software skills
