Job Summary

The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations as prescribed by the physician, ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with radiation safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine and special X-ray examinations as per doctor's prescription Position patients correctly to obtain accurate diagnostic images Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and cooperation Operate and maintain X-ray machines and related imaging equipment Ensure radiation safety measures for patients, attendants, and self Maintain proper documentation and patient records Process, label, and archive X-ray films/images correctly Follow infection control and hospital safety protocols Assist radiologist during special procedures when required Report equipment malfunction immediately to the concerned authority Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the radiology department
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of radiographic techniques and radiation safety Ability to handle patients with care and empathy Good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in shifts, including night duties and emergencies Basic computer knowledge for digital imaging systems (CR/DR/PACS)
Qualification & Experience

Diploma / B.Sc. in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology Minimum 1

-2 years

experience Experience in hospital or diagnostic center preferred
