Job Title: JD Edwards (JDE) World Technical Consultant





Job Summary:



We are seeking a skilled and experienced JD Edwards World Technical Consultant with a strong background in RPG programming and AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, supporting, and maintaining custom applications and interfaces within the JD Edwards World ERP environment.





Key Responsibilities:


Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions within the JDE World ERP.

Design, develop, and maintain custom programs using RPG III/IV/ILE on IBM iSeries (AS/400) platforms.

Develop and maintain batch applications, reports, and interfaces (inbound/outbound) between JDE and external systems.

Provide production support for JDE World technical issues and troubleshoot application problems.

Collaborate with functional teams to support modules such as Finance, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Procurement.

Participate in upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of JDE World applications.

Document technical specifications, test plans, and standard operating procedures.

Ensure adherence to IT change control and software development best practices.




Required Skills & Experience:


4+ years of hands-on experience with JD Edwards World ERP (not JDE EnterpriseOne).

Strong proficiency in RPG (III/IV/ILE), CLP, SQL/400, and DB2.

In-depth understanding of AS/400 (IBM iSeries) systems.

Experience in developing custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements in JDE World.

Familiarity with World Writer, FASTR, and other native tools.

Knowledge of JDE World table structures and data relationships.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance and technical issues.

Experience with version control and transport systems on IBM iSeries (e.g., Aldon, TurnOver) is a plus.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.




Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience with JDE World upgrades or migration projects.

Familiarity with manufacturing, finance, or supply chain business processes.

* Exposure to integration tools or middleware is an advantage.
