Joining our team as a Workspace Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading the Communications Strategy for the Corporate Real Estate team in Corporate Services HSBC India. You will spearhead anything and everything communications across all channels of workspace. This includes designing the experience of change and communication within the workspace. All employees communication from the CRE function across all offices and branches in India will be developed and controlled by this role. The various channels of communication include emails and newsletters, workplace intranet, MyDay digital workplace app and push notifications, digital screens and other workplace collaterals / signages.

This position calls for an experienced communications professional with real estate experience and an eye for creativity. The ideal candidate can absorb and process complex issues and create innovative solutions to address change management processes and business needs. Strong writing, presentation and project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, globally diverse teams are essential.

Our HSBC Workspace Communications Manager\xe2\x80\x99s primary goal is to enable structured and engaging employee related communications and programs for country wide real estate projects. This includes supporting the change management process for projects, events engagement and logistics, communication channels and workspace app MyDay.

The Workspace Communications Manager is also required to develop templates and tools to enable the Workspace Delivery (previously Facilities Management) team to be an intuitive and timely communicator. One that speaks the language and engages with all levels of employees memorably.

HSBC Communication and Engagement: You will be part of the Experience team and represent Corporate Services for all things communications. Work with all business location leads for INM, HTI and GSC to understand project goals and communication requirements being, but not limited to:

  • Deliver an engaging colleague communication strategy by first understanding current offering and providing templates and suggestions to uplift messaging and communication.
  • Take ownership of the CS brand story and work in line with local, regional and global HSBC marketing and communications to ensure our messaging aligns to the overall bank identity and philosophies
  • Work with local CS and Project Management team on an experience activation communications strategy to support small to medium employee moves and changes and facility renovations
  • Provide guidance to our external Change Management Partners and ensure their communications strategy aligns with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\x98voice\xe2\x80\x99 and values
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and provide support in collaterals, signages, promotions and campaigns where necessary
  • Understand the needs of the business and what drives the businesses you support
  • Enhance Hybrid Events by creating an engaging user story with engaging push notifications through the MyDay App that encourage participation and excitement
  • Work closely with the various Experience Ambassadors to create a culture of Community Well Being, supporting and guiding HSBC colleagues through the challenges & opportunities of the new workplace environment.
Day to day operations \xe2\x80\x93 HSBC Workspace Communications:
  • Oversee and guide the communications strategy for Corporate Services team
  • Support the employee communication process for projects
  • Bring strategic concepts to life in tangible, effective programs that demonstrate thought leadership and operational relevance.
  • Ensure that all programs and deliverables align with business objectives and promote the MyDay app through key themes and messages.
  • Develop, a toolbox of communications tools and templates for use across the market
  • Actively participate in strategic planning initiatives with the CS team
Functional Support and Leadership
  • Provide leadership to the Experience Ambassadors and Workplace team on all communication matters.
  • Provide logistics and creative support in Hybrid and Workplace events
  • Able to prepare nd review and quarterly functional newsletters
  • Direct and oversee the creation of client and internal communications onto the app.
  • Ensure there is appropriate support, planning, and implementation of initiatives critical to the success of the MyDay app.
Technology
  • Create communications strategy to support internal Bank initiatives such as new employee App launch or changes to processes (facility and amenity related only)
  • Introduce innovative technical solutions to increase Colleague Experience, to gain engagement with events and to demonstrate efficiency through the MyDay App.
Client / Stakeholder Management
  • Liaise and develop relationships with Clients\xe2\x80\x99 major stakeholders such as HR, IT, Comms and ERG\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Interaction with BU stakeholders, HR leads, Communication leads (HSBC) and CS leads on CRE related communication drafting, review and finalization
  • Proactively engage with regional SME counterparts in ASP for communications and MyDay
  • Pro-actively develop and manage Client relationships ensuring that expected service levels are achieved
  • Deliver an exceptional quality of service to the Client, as reflected by Client feedback

  • Strong project management skills, schedule management, crisis management, budget management

Experience and requirements:
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years in a related or relevant field
  • Experience in managing senior stakeholders (Executives, Business Leads and Head of Departments)
  • Experience in communications strategy development
  • Experience in a Corporate Real Estate Function
  • Familiar with change programs and stacks, interacting with businesses experiencing move and change
  • Proficient in MS office, populo and other design canvasses
  • Experience with workplace apps or push notification management is an added advantage
  • High in empathy and customer experience
