planning, execution, monitoring, and control of all works contracts
across construction projects. The role ensures
timely delivery, cost control, quality compliance, contractual adherence, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and internal teams
.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Management
Oversee end-to-end management of
works contracts
including civil, finishing, MEP, and infrastructure packages.
Review, finalize, and administer
contracts, BOQs, scope, specifications, and drawings
.
Ensure strict compliance with
contractual terms, conditions, timelines, and statutory requirements
.
Handle
variations, extra items, claims, and counter-claims
in coordination with QS and Legal teams.
2. Project Execution & Control
Ensure execution of works as per
approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules
.
Monitor contractor performance on
cost, quality, safety, and timelines
.
Conduct periodic
site reviews, progress meetings, and coordination meetings
.
Identify risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
3. Cost & Billing Control
Control project costs through
rate analysis, value engineering, and cost optimization
.
Review and approve
contractor RA bills, final bills, and reconciliation statements
.
Coordinate with QS and Finance for
budget tracking and cash flow planning
.
4. Quality & Safety Compliance
Ensure adherence to
quality standards, QA/QC plans, and IS codes
.
Enforce
safety policies, HSE compliance, and statutory safety norms
at all sites.
Conduct audits and ensure closure of non-conformities.
5. Vendor & Contractor Management
Participate in
pre-qualification, evaluation, and selection of contractors
.
Develop strong relationships with contractors while ensuring performance accountability.
Resolve disputes and escalations professionally and contractually.
6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with
Design, Planning, Purchase, QS, Legal, Finance, and Site Teams
.
Liaise with
consultants, architects, statutory authorities, and clients
as required.
Provide regular updates to management on project status, risks, and milestones.
7. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and present
weekly/monthly progress reports
to senior management.
Ensure proper documentation of
contracts, correspondence, approvals, and site records
.
Support audits and management reviews.
Key Deliverables

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Civil Engineering
(Master's preferred)
Certification in
Contract Management / Project Management
is an added advantage
Experience
15-20+ years
of experience in construction projects
Minimum
5-7 years in senior contract or project leadership role
Experience in
residential villas and apartment projects.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of
construction contracts, BOQs, specifications, and drawings
Expertise in
FIDIC / EPC / Item Rate / Lump Sum contracts
(as applicable)
Excellent
negotiation, leadership, and decision-making skills
Strong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in
MS Project / Primavera / ERP systems
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
