Workday Integration Developer position is available to design, build, and implement medium to complex Workday integration. In this role, you will need to apply the full development life cycle to implement new and enhance existing HR/Payroll integrations using Workday integration tools. To ensure success as a Workday Integration Developer, you should be skilled at using all of the available technologies including Workday Studio, APIs, Core Connectors, EIBs, XSLT, Custom Transformation, Report Builder, and Calc Fields to implement complex solutions while working on multiple projects and enhancement requests. Workday Extend knowledge is also beneficial.
Workday Developer Responsibilities:
Key development integration resource for projects and enhancements
Review and discussing project requirements with key personnel assigned to projects.
Work with Workday integration architecture to ensure that applications follow company standards at a high level of availability
Support the designs, developing, testing, and implementing changes to the applications in support of Business Unit initiatives and change requests
Participate in each testing cycle of system design changes prior to migrating to Production applications
Cooperate with Release Manager to resolve readiness and deployment schedule of the applications modifications or enhancements
Supports the application migration strategy for moving changes between environments
Monitoring existing Workday integrations and resolve any failures.
Work with functional team on integration questions and adhoc integration execution
Review and improving existing Workday integration for performance and fixes.
Technical Knowledge Requirements:
Developing new integrations to meet the changing needs of clients or business processes.
Designing and developing new integrations based on user requirements and business needs.
Understanding of XML and the ability to write XSLT for the transformation of integration files.
Knowledge of Workday integration tools which include Workday Studio, APIs, Core Connectors, EIBs, XSLT, Custom Transformation, Report Builder, and Calc Fields, and Workday Extend.
Testing semi-annual Workday upgrades to ensure that integrations are not impacted by the new release. Making needed changes for fields being obsoleted.
Complete testing of integration development changes to ensure that they function as intended before installing changes to production.
Maintaining existing integration documentation and make needed updates with new business requirements.
Debugging integrations to identify and resolve errors in coding.
Opening tickets with Workday Support and troubleshooting issues.
Functional Knowledge Requirements:
Understanding of Workday configurations and security
Understanding of Payroll Interfaces, North American Payroll, and Recruiting
Understanding of Human Resource transactions
