This role is responsible for leading with the support of Project Managers/Team Leaders, the delivery, optimisation and support of Workday HCM and Core Compensation solutions. The Senior Consultant will work directly with our customers and stakeholders who will be at various levels and from multiple areas of their business. They will be expected to understand business requirements from their customers, configure the Workday to meet those needs, and ensure smooth adoption of best practices during the implementation, optimization and support for Workday HCM solutions. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance HR processes, data accuracy, and overall system efficiency for the customer.
Key ResponsibilitiesUse expertise, presentation and guidance skills to lead requirement gathering workshops. Understand customer requirements, translating them into Workday solutions and providing associated time estimates. Proactively raise potential challenges based on experience & knowledge. Independently setup and configure Workday modules based on customer needs. Assist, support and provide direction to junior resources. Create and present proposals to resolve problems that arise using experience, research and analysis. Ensure that the testing of developed solutions has been completed and troubleshooting any issues. Contribute to the planning and delivery of data migration and cut over phases ensuring milestones are met and all associated documentation is completed. Coordinate with stakeholders and manage timelines to ensure strong relationships and successful project delivery. Collaborate effectively with other teams, e.g. Change, Testing, Data, Integrations, PMO as required. Support our live customers on Workday via our AMS function. Any other duties which may reasonably be assigned from time to time.


Necessary ExperienceWorkday Core HCM Certified with 5+ years of Workday HCM configuration experience and involvement with 3+ Workday customers. Workday Implementer experience with solid understanding of the Workday methodology and customer-side deliverables. Experience of designing and configuring Core HCM and Core Compensation in a variety of geographies/industries. Experience configuring other Workday modules (e.g. Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking & Reporting) in addition to the Core HCM & Core Compensation modules. Understanding of the wider HR processes as subject matter to support customers to design the most appropriate solution in Workday. Has provided coaching and mentoring on at least 1 project.

Desirable ExperienceDegree in a technical, business or other relevant field of study. Experience of multiple Workday implementations. Workday Core HCM Implementer certified (current or expired). Experience of providing Workday support to live customers. Working as an HR Professional.


Necessary Skills/CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Consultative in their customer approach. Excellent oral & written communication skills, and able to adapt communication style to different audiences. Fluent English (written/ spoken). Team player with a consultative approach and excellent presentation skills. Excellent problem solver. Ability to build rapport in virtual or in person settings. Excellent attention to detail. Planning skills to support EM/PM. Able to work in a quick-paced and dynamic environment.
