Job Description

Rorko is seeking a passionate and experienced WordPress Developer to join our team! As a key player, you'll be responsible for both the front-end and back-end development of websites, including crafting custom themes and plugins. Core Functions (Must-Have):

Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, CSS, and API integrations. Strong understanding of WordPress CMS, along with experience using Elementor, WP Bakery, and custom development. Prior experience building e-commerce websites using platforms like WooCommerce is a plus. A solid grasp of UX (user experience) principles is essential. Ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code following best practices. Experience creating and maintaining clear software documentation. Woo-commerce, Shopify & Magento knowledge is a plus
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations & activities

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Work with development in web development, application development: web & mobile
2. Work with ongoing, upcoming & maintenance projects, internal and client projects
3. Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices
4. Designing and implementing new features and functionality
5. Establishing and guiding the website's development architecture
6. Ensuring high-performance and availability & managing all technical aspects of the CMS
7. Converting a high-level design on Figma or Adobe XD into a functional & well-designed website

Preferred knowledge skills and abilities:

Good understanding of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications Experience designing & developing responsive design websites Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. Ability to understand CSS changes & ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers Expertise in responsive optimisation for all mobiles, laptops, tablets & large-screen devices Ability to convert comprehensive layout & wireframes into working web pages Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML) Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN & Mercurial Understanding and working knowledge of GitHub & Bitbucket repositories
