Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Web Developer with 3-5 years of professional experience to take ownership of the end-to-end development of custom websites. The ideal candidate is a proficient full-stack developer with deep expertise in WordPress and PHP, capable of building a website from the ground up--from designing the database and writing server-side logic to creating a responsive and interactive frontend. A strong foundation in Java will be considered a significant advantage and open up opportunities for diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Website Development: Design, develop, and deploy complete, custom WordPress websites, including both backend and frontend components. Custom Theme & Plugin Development: Build responsive, high-performance WordPress themes and plugins from scratch according to design specifications and project requirements. Backend Development: Develop robust server-side logic, define and manage databases, and integrate third-party APIs using PHP. Frontend Development: Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functional, responsive, and cross-browser compatible web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Database Management: Design and manage MySQL databases, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity. Performance & Security: Optimize websites for maximum speed, scalability, and search engine visibility (SEO). Implement security best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing website maintenance, support, and bug fixes.
Required Skills & Qualifications

3-5 years of professional web development experience. Proficiency in WordPress: Deep understanding of WordPress core architecture, including hooks (actions and filters), custom post types, taxonomies, and the REST API. Strong PHP Skills: Solid object-oriented programming (OOP) skills in PHP. Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) is a plus. Frontend Proficiency: Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Database Expertise: Hands-on experience with MySQL, including schema design and query optimization. Full-Stack Mindset: Demonstrated ability to handle both server-side and client-side development. Version Control: Experience with Git for source code management. Problem-Solver: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Points)

Knowledge of Java: Any experience with Java or J2EE is a significant plus and will be highly valued for future enterprise-level projects. Modern JavaScript Frameworks: Familiarity with a modern JavaScript library or framework like React, Vue.js, or Angular. Build Tools & CSS Pre-processors: Experience with tools like Webpack, NPM, and preprocessors like SASS/SCSS. API Integration: Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs. DevOps Basics: Familiarity with basic DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and command-line deployment.
