We DevSoftUK Software Company located in Surat are looking for a skilled and motivated

WordPress & PHP Developer

to join our in-office development team in Surat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining dynamic websites, custom plugins, themes, and APIs using WordPress and Core PHP. You must be passionate about writing clean, optimized code and keeping up with the latest web technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins Customize WordPress core, themes, and third-party plugins as per project needs Write and maintain custom PHP scripts for backend logic and API integration Ensure websites are responsive, fast, secure, and SEO-friendly Debug and fix performance or functional issues Work with designers and project managers to deliver projects on time Maintain proper documentation and follow coding standards

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of

PHP

and

MySQL

In-depth understanding of

WordPress CMS

Experience with

WordPress theme & plugin development

Familiarity with

WooCommerce

ACF

,

Elementor

,

WPBakery

Understanding of REST APIs and JSON Good command over

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

Experience with

Git

version control Basic understanding of

cPanel

FTP

, and

hosting setup

Bonus Skills (Preferred ):

Experience with

Laravel

or other PHP frameworks Knowledge of

Shopify

Magento

, or

React

Familiarity with SEO and performance optimization tools Understanding of website security best practices Knowledge of API integrations (e.g., payment gateways, SMS, CRM)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred) 1-3 years of relevant work experience Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team
