Who are we looking for: WordPress Developer (Elementor) / Front-End Programmer

We are looking for front-end web engineers (specifically the ones with knowledge of WordPress & Elementor Page Builder) who can help us build a compelling web presence while maintaining simplicity and usability. You should be able to think critically about a problem, evaluate the solution set, and be able to pick the right course of development given the set of constraints while adopting appropriate technologies to solve technical challenges.

This is a paid internship position & is based in Bangalore, India. If you are selected, you\'ll have to work from one of our offices on MG Road or Indiranagar.

General Purpose

Building and breaking a lot of things \xe2\x80\x93 You will be building landing pages & front-end for our own products, in a very fast-paced environment! You will be working on challenging problems and will have complete ownership of various features of the product and will have the opportunity to lead our design efforts.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Create site layout/user interface by using WordPress & Elementor or standard HTML/CSS/JS practices
• From day one, you will be contributing to the front-end coding using the latest technologies
• You will be working closely together with our designers and engineers to continually improve our web experience
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Studying or having a college degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Design or similar field
• Preferably with BE, BCA, B.Tech, BFA, BSc, MCA or similar education/knowledge
• Fresher or 1-2 years of experience is acceptable
• A scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude that gets high-quality projects done quickly
• Knowledge of MS Office / Google Drive (Docs) and Internet Browsing, Social Networks, Web-based tools, etc...

Skills Required

• Fluency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
• Cross-Browser/Cross-Platform Development
• Knowledge of Image Editing Tools like Photoshop
• Familiar with design best practices for layouts, typography and usability
• Good Knowledge of modern web techniques and responsive design
• Understanding of web standards, latest tools and workflows in frontend development
• Understanding of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, and Foundation is a plus

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with JavaScript libraries / frameworks such as jQuery / AngularJS / ReactJS / VueJS and plugins
• Experience in third-party API integration \xe2\x80\x93 Google places, Google maps, Facebook, Analytics, etc
• Hands-on experience with the mockup, wire-framing tools like Figma, Balsamiq, Adobe Photoshop
• Basic knowledge of Cross-browser debugging/testing, Stylesheet languages (like LESS, CoffeeScript), FTP and SEO
• Previous Startup Experience (Full/Part-Time or Internship)

• Deep understanding, familiarity and skill with programming for the web.
• The ability to pick up new programming languages very quickly.
• Be able to write elegant, readable, and well-documented code
• Actively involved in technology and/or startup communities, events, workshops, conferences etc.
• The ability to construct solid, structured mark-ups as well as write and work with efficient, flexible and reusable stylesheets is preferred.

Interview process

We don\'t have a complicated multi-level process like corporate companies. But we do have 2-3 rounds to filter good talent. 1-2 rounds of online interviews, and 1 round of in-person interviews. Also, there will be a small technical exercise component as part of the interview process.

As it\'s not a walk-in please do not visit our office location until you get selected through the Interview Process.
