Job Description

1. Theme Development & Customization

Design and develop custom WordPress themes

based on client or project requirements. Modify and customize existing themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure responsive and mobile-friendly design. Maintain cross-browser compatibility and performance.

2. Plugin Development & Integration

Build custom plugins

to add specific features or functionality. Modify and extend existing plugins as needed. Ensure compatibility with the WordPress core and other plugins. Implement hooks (actions & filters) to customize plugin behavior.

3. Website Management & Maintenance

Manage WordPress installations

, updates, backups, and performance. Regularly update themes, plugins, and WordPress core. Monitor website performance and implement speed optimizations. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs or issues.

4. Front-End Development

Work with

HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Vue (if using headless WordPress)

. Convert design mockups (e.g., from Figma, PSD) into fully functional WordPress themes. Implement interactive UI elements and animations.

5. Back-End Development

Write clean and efficient

PHP code

for custom functionalities. Manage databases, custom post types (CPT), taxonomies, and user roles. Integrate REST APIs or third-party services.

6. Security & Optimization

Harden WordPress security

(limit login attempts, secure forms, etc.). Identify and fix vulnerabilities. Optimize website speed with caching, image optimization, and lazy loading. Ensure SEO best practices (e.g., schema markup, clean URLs).

7. Client Communication & Documentation

Gather and analyze project requirements.

Communicate technical details

to non-technical stakeholders. Provide training or documentation for clients to manage their WordPress sites. Offer post-launch support and ongoing maintenance.

8. SEO & Accessibility

Implement basic

on-page SEO

(meta tags, heading structure, etc.). Ensure

accessibility standards

(WCAG) for users with disabilities. Optimize site structure and performance for search engines.

9. E-commerce Development (if applicable)

Develop or customize

WooCommerce

stores. Integrate payment gateways, shipping APIs, and cart functionalities. Maintain product databases, order systems, and user accounts.

10. Collaboration & Project Management

Work closely with

designers, content creators, marketers, and project managers

. Use version control systems (e.g., Git). Work with staging environments for testing before production.
