Skills and QualificationsExperience in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP (WordPress)Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications on WordPress / PHP.Experience designing and developing responsive design websitesComfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etcAbility to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsersAbility to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working responsive HTML pages for tablet, mobile, and desktopKnowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN, or Mercurial would be a plusA clear understanding of PHP back-end developmentGood understanding of website architecture and aestheticsStrong communication skillsAbility to independently manage projects and report / present efforts to clientsAn additional CMS exposure (Shopify, Magento, Drupal) would be an added advantage
