Project Overview

We are building a

custom WordPress-based SaaS marketplace

for

party & event rental businesses.

This is

not a standard WordPress website

.
The project requires

deep WordPress customization

to create a

SaaS-like backend

, vendor dashboards, and API-ready architecture for future mobile apps.

We are looking for a

part-time or freelance WordPress developer

who can work on

milestones

, with the possibility of

long-term collaboration

.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the founder to:

Customize

WordPress as a backend platform (SaaS style)

Create

custom user roles & permissions

: Super Admin Vendor Vendor Staff Customer Build

custom admin dashboards

(hide default WordPress UI) Develop or customize: Inventory management (party rental items) Booking & availability system Vendor-specific dashboards Customize

WooCommerce

for rentals & bookings Integrate

Stripe / Stripe Connect

Ensure

API-ready structure

(for PWA / mobile app) Optimize performance & security White-label WordPress (no default WP branding)
Required Skills (Must Have)

Strong experience with

WordPress core customization

PHP (custom plugins, hooks & filters) Custom Post Types & Taxonomies

ACF Pro

(advanced usage) WooCommerce customization WordPress REST API MySQL / WordPress database knowledge Security & performance best practices
Nice to Have (Big Plus)

SaaS or multi-vendor marketplace experience Booking / rental system experience Stripe Connect Headless WordPress PWA or mobile-app backend exposure
Not a Good Fit If You

Only work with themes or page builders Avoid backend logic Have no experience creating custom plugins Are not comfortable thinking in
