WordPress Engineer

We are looking for an experienced

WordPress Engineer

with hands-on experience in WordPress development to join our growing technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites, integrating ERPNext and third-party systems, and ensuring an excellent user experience across all devices.

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain responsive WordPress websites and themes. Create and modify custom plugins to meet client and project requirements. Integrate WordPress with ERPNext and other internal or third-party systems. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and security. Collaborate with the design and backend teams to implement dynamic features and functionalities. Conduct regular website audits, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs efficiently. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design standards. Manage website migrations, backups, and version control using Git. Provide technical input during project planning and architecture discussions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2-6 years of proven experience in WordPress development (custom theme and plugin development). Strong proficiency in Wordpress, PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience integrating APIs and working with RESTful services. Familiarity with ERPNext, React, or Python will be a strong advantage. Solid understanding of web performance optimization, SEO principles, and security best practices.Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and deployment workflows. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
