Job Description

We are looking for a talented Wordpress Developer with expertise in building custom WordPress themes from scratch using the WordPress Customizer API, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and can deliver fully responsive, fast, and SEO-friendly themes tailored to client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop fully custom WordPress themes from scratch.

- Integrate and extend the WordPress Customizer API to allow flexible theme customization.

- Create responsive, cross-browser compatible, and performance-optimized front-end experiences.

- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code following WordPress coding standards.

- Implement custom post types, taxonomies, meta boxes, and shortcodes as needed.

- Ensure themes are fully compatible with major plugins (e.g., WooCommerce,etc.).

- Debug and troubleshoot theme-related issues.

- Work closely with designers and stakeholders to turn design mockups (Figma, PSD, etc.) into functional WordPress themes.

- Stay updated with the latest WordPress core updates, theme development trends, and best practices.

Requirements:

- Strong experience with WordPress theme development from scratch (not relying on builders).

- Proficiency with PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and WordPress Customizer API.

- Experience building and maintaining custom post types, templates, and reusable theme components.

- Understanding of SEO fundamentals, page speed optimization, and WordPress security best practices.

- Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple projects.
