Portico Webworks is a new boutique web development agency who specializes in building high-converting websites for hotels across India and internationally. We're a lean, focused team that helps hoteliers increase direct bookings through systematic website delivery.

Job Overview

We're hiring a WordPress Developer to build hotel websites using our systematic process, pre-built blocks, and templates. You'll work directly with the founder (technical lead) who handles architecture decisions while you execute implementations.

This is high-volume, systematic delivery - not slow custom work. We use modern AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor) to deliver quality at speed.

Key Responsibilities

Build WordPress hotel websites following our established processes Customize and maintain our proprietary hotel management plugin (custom post types, custom fields, admin interfaces) Convert UI/UX designs into functional WordPress pages and templates Implement and refine pre-built blocks and templates for faster delivery Handle website hosting setup, SSL certificates, backups, and server management Implement security best practices and performance optimization Execute on-page SEO implementation (meta tags, schema markup, site structure) Coordinate with UI/UX designer and founder for project execution Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience Strong experience with custom plugin development (custom post types, custom fields, admin interfaces) Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript Experience with WordPress theme customization and child themes Working knowledge of cPanel or similar hosting control panels Understanding of website security, performance optimization, and SEO basics Experience with version control (Git) Comfortable using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor (or willing to learn immediately) Portfolio demonstrating WordPress sites you've built Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines consistently

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building websites for hotels, restaurants, or hospitality industry Prior work in high-volume agency or product environment Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg blocks, etc.) Experience with WooCommerce or booking system integrations Based in Kochi, Kerala (strongly preferred)

Compensation & Benefits

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced role focused on systematic delivery. You'll have clear technical direction from the founder, designs from UI/UX, and established processes to follow. The goal is delivering quality at speed using modern tools and repeatable systems.
