Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled

WordPress Backend & Plugin Developer

with

more than 3 years of hands-on experience

in developing custom plugins, backend logic, and scalable WordPress solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PHP, WordPress core, REST APIs, and database optimization, with a focus on performance, security, and clean code.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain

custom WordPress plugins

Work on

WordPress backend architecture

, hooks, actions, and filters Integrate

third-party APIs

, payment gateways, and CRMs Optimize WordPress websites for

performance, scalability, and security

Manage and customize

WooCommerce backend functionalities

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend-related issues Follow WordPress coding standards and best practices Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and project managers Ensure website security, data protection, and regular updates

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of professional experience in

WordPress backend & plugin development

Strong proficiency in

PHP

,

MySQL

,

JavaScript

, and

jQuery

In-depth knowledge of

WordPress core

, custom post types, and taxonomies Experience with

WordPress REST API

and AJAX Strong understanding of

WooCommerce architecture

Familiarity with

security best practices

(nonces, sanitization, validation) Experience with

Git/version control systems

Knowledge of

performance optimization

and caching mechanisms Ability to write clean, reusable, and well-documented code

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with

Gutenberg block development

Knowledge of

React.js

(for block or admin UI development) Experience with

multisite WordPress setups

Familiarity with

CI/CD workflows

Basic understanding of

SEO and website optimization
