Job Description

Inspect wooden furniture pieces for surface imperfections, scratches, dents, and rough areas before polishing Sand furniture surfaces using various grits of sandpaper and power sanders to achieve smooth finishes Apply stains, sealers, lacquers, varnishes, and other finishing materials according to product specifications Use hand and power polishing tools to buff and shine finished surfaces to desired lusture Touch up minor surface defects and blemishes with appropriate fillers and repair materials Operate spray guns and other application equipment to apply even coats of finishing materials Follow proper drying times between coats and ensure optimal curing conditions Clean and prepare surfaces by removing dust, oils, and debris before finishing application Mix finishes and stains to achieve correct colors and consistency as specified Maintain polishing equipment, tools, and work area in clean and organized condition Conduct quality checks to ensure finishes meet company standards and customer specifications Follow safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilation systems Track production output and report any material defects or quality concerns to supervisors familiar with the usages of ICA and SIRCA products
