Your field of responsibility As a part of WM India Compliance team (WM IN CCO team) will have responsibility of assisting, co ordinating and performing activities to support smooth functioning of WM India Business. Advisory and Challenge . Assist WM India COO senior management in tracking, reviewing and analysing circulars/notifications etc. issued by various regulators to ensure that WM India Business is abiding and aligned with it and to discuss its progress/implementation in India PB BRCM monthly meetings & other governance (local & regional) forums such as LMC, CSSIPL Board meetings, etc. . Assisting in review of WM India first line controls, processes and procedures to ensure that all parameters are addressed to mitigate compliance risk. . Assist WM CCO team partners by providing inputs from regulatory front on New business to make sure that the India business develops in a controlled and compliant manner and in line with the bank\'s risk appetite . Assist in conducting reviews and raising to senior partners of IN WM CCO team about the findings and proper remediation of issues identified . Involvement in corporate governance matters relating to the relevant domestic entity(ies), including ensuring appropriate regulatory filings and notifications (if required) are made . Assist in reviewing various process, FOP & procedures wrt client complaint handling . Liaison with other Compliance teams (e.g., FCC, M&T etc.,) with reference to common departmental activities and any assessment or task impacting IN WM Business . Willingness and ability to assist and participate in local and regional APAC CCO projects. . Assist IN WM CCO senior management by providing feedback to ensure that the business continues to operate in a controlled and compliant manner, whilst remaining consistent with the bank\'s risk appetite and regulatory obligations Regulatory Management: Relationship . Assist in preparation & submission of regulatory reporting/requests etc. to ensure that regulatory commitments are submitted in a timely manner . Maintain healthy professional working relationship among all partners including regulators & auditors . Assist WM IN CCO team with preparation, co-ordination and providing response to audit team, business-partners etc. . Ensure the capture of all regulatory engagements in Fusion to ensure consistency of dealing with issues over APAC Regulatory Change/Development . Keep up to date with developments and assess implications in applicable laws, rules and standards . Assist WM IN CCO senior management team to disseminate change requirements to impacted parties and ensure an implementation plan to meet required changes on a timely basis is devised . Assist WM IN CCO senior management team in regional queries, read across tasks etc. so that IN WM CCO team can work seamlessly with APAC & global CCO teams by providing advice concerning policy and regulatory obligations impacting the WM India business . To assist WM IN CCO team in implementation of appropriate training and/or Monitoring and Testing and/or surveillance protocols resulting from any change/development in laws/rules or standards . Assist in preparation of various documents, manual, process note, procedures for seamless Coordination by WM IN CCO senior team members (in conjunction with relevant regional and global CCO and other partners, including GC and other control functions) on the application of relevant regulations and Bank policies applicable to the Bank\'s WM businesses, the WM India CEO / local management and Corporate Functions in respect of India Issue management Compliance reviews and activities may result in the identification of issues. Compliance is responsible for coordinating with Division/Functions to identify owners, target completion dates and required actions in response to findings identified from their reviews. Compliance responsibilities include: . Manage the upload of issues identified through their reviews into MICOS . Perform reviews and validation of issues, as needed . Review/Approve change requests, as needed . Assist in preparation of weekly escalation-report to ensure that the APAC Regional CCO is regularly and appropriately informed about material developments in India Build a consistent compliance program that aligns with the CCO head vision: Policy and Training . Participate in CCO forums and assist in developing policies and procedures that will help in better performance of compliance activities . Assist in formulation and publishing appropriate compliance policies and effectively communication of the same to business. Provide compliance input on policies owned by other business partners from regulatory and regional guidance perspective . Ensure that timely compliance policy approvals are given/raised as appropriate (e.g., gifts and entertainment, Personal Account trading, Handling of complaints, etc.) . Provide induction training to new joiners . Assess the need for and proactively ensure that training sessions/ eLearnings\' are provided to Front Office and other relevant departments on regulatory and policy requirements and lessons learned from complaints, regulatory incidents, enforcement cases and disciplinary incidents. Stakeholder-Management Business . Assist WM IN CCO senior management by preparation of decks, regulatory notification draft, etc. to dissemination of necessary information to senior business and compliance management in the assessment of breaches or possible breaches of relevant law/regulation . Ensuring that reportable breach reports are made to relevant regulators, where necessary, on a timely basis . Assist WM IN CCO senior management by preparation of training materials, etc., to ultimately assist senior management for better understanding of compliance and conduct risk matters . Ensure the compliance function acts as an effective contact point within the bank for compliance queries . Assist WM IN CCO senior management with compliance and conduct risk matters in CS WM India in publicly setting standards and providing a challenge where the required standards are not achieved Systems/technology development . Support and participate in any changes to systems and ensure to attend the training being held in this regard to familiarize and use system for better performance of tasks . Stay abreast of technology changes and opportunities to demonstrate various systems in the bank Management Information (MI) Assist in ensuring that the compliance tone set out by regional CCO management and as advised by Senior CCO management is being adopted and followed including regular and accurate reporting to Management by way of preparation of various MIS, decks etc. Team and People Agenda . Positive and proactive collaborator with other Compliance teams and other partners such as Ops, Tax, etc. . Proactively engage in knowledge sharing by way of regular interaction within India Compliance teams . Assist in performing tasks and helping other IN CCO team members in completion of common activities, regional request . Your skills and experience You are expected to possess the below: Professional qualification such as CA, MBA, ICWA, CS, LLB etc. Have proven years of experience (4- 7 years), in working within a Compliance function in banking/securities market with awareness of banking, lending regulations, FEMA, KYC etc. Outstanding understanding of Financial Services, with working experience in local regulatory rules (RBI regulations) and familiarity with Indian regulatory landscape Ambitious, hardworking who can work on own initiative and deliver on time whilst also being a good teammate High level of integrity, sense of urgency, attention to detail and quality standards Proficient in analytical and interpersonal skills with attention to detail Outstanding sense of accountability and time management Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
