Experienced IT person that can provide technical support for the pro-active operation, support and maintenance of systems and associated technology. You will be responsible for day to day operational functions including change, incident, and problem management. Specific Duties will include, but not be limited to, the day to day operations of Server and Applications.

• Problem Management o Change Management o Reporting
• Operational components of Release Management
• Developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions

The role is required to:

• Perform other duties as reasonably directed o Follow company policies and procedures o Manage & maintain the services for maximum availability & performance using the appropriate processes (ITIL or equivalent) as a basis for maintaining a stable and carefully managed environment. o Monitor & report on service performance & resource utilization. o Proactively analyse service and system performance with a view to identifying possible faults before they impact service levels. Technical skills: o Minimum of 4 years relevant professional experience in IT industry or such accomplishments that are deemed equivalent. o Proven highly developed technical ability in application and OS support. o Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution. o Self-motivated and willing to own and solve issues. o Proven ability to work autonomously with good self-management. o Demonstrated capacity to work harmoniously as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and to establish effective work relationships. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Strong written and verbal communication. o Demonstrated ability to continuously update technical knowledge and skills. o Windows System Admin Skills. o Linux / Unix Skills. o VMWare Skills. o Networking Skills. Qualifications Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Systems-related field, or appropriate experience and industry accredited certifications (e.g. MCSE, RHCE, VCP, ITIL).
