Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Virtual Machine Management: Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines (VMs) on Hyper-V hosts. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot Hyper-V-related issues, monitor system performance, and ensure optimal operation. Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize the Hyper-V infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking. Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions for Hyper-V VMs, ensuring data protection. Security: Implement and maintain security measures for the Hyper-V environment, including access controls, malware protection, and vulnerability management. Networking: Configure and manage Hyper-V networking, including virtual switches, virtual network adapters, and network policies. Scripting and Automation: Develop and implement PowerShell scripts for automating tasks, such as VM deployment, configuration, and maintenance. Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune Hyper-V server performance, ensuring optimal resource utilization and VM performance. Documentation and Standards: Document Hyper-V configurations, procedures, and best practices. Training and Support: Provide training and support for Hyper-V users.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

Hyper-V Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience with Hyper-V, including installation, configuration, and management. Windows Server Administration: Experience with Windows Server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and WSUS. Virtualization Concepts: Understanding of virtualization principles and technologies. Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with network concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting. Scripting Skills: Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication and Collaboration: Ability to communicate technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with others.
