Exp - 6 - 8 yearsLocation - Mumbai & ChennaiNotice - ImmediateInstalling/Re-installing/Migrating/Upgrading Operating Systems where required.
Installing Server build/ image.
Installing Standard software as per NSE requisites as part of server start up applications.
Configuring server components (hardware/software/firmware, etc.).
Overseeing passive cabling for new/existing data cabling as part of maintenance/upgrade/commissioning activity.
Performing Racking / stacking, power cabling, network and storage connectivity.
Performing Hardware augmentation to support capacity.
Performing cluster / high-availability (HA) configuration.
Performing OS hardening on the server as per security policies & recommendations.
Performing Initial Patching as per last approved Patch level
Tracking & coordinating server incidents/ problems till resolution.
Conducting first level diagnosis (L1) for reported incident/problems & give resolution to L0 Teams.
Analysing of incident/ problem trends.
Providing inputs for system configuration changes for performance optimization.
Coordinating & escalating to vendors for hardware failures (Logging ticket at Vendor side as well internal tracking through service desk).
Monitoring of system processes, system alerts/ events, hardware alerts/ events, system error logs, CPU, Memory, Disk, Paging.
Plan Change deployment, Preventive & Scheduled maintenance.
Monitoring application related system alerts, application file system space, CPU utilization parameters etc.
Managing space on servers (physical and logical space).
Reporting anomalies in server performance & update service desk in case of business impact.
Resolving system performance related problems ;Troubleshooting server & operating system disruptions (based on event logs).
Performing analysis of service level breaches due to system performance degradation with RCA analysis.
Managing logical system components, such as operating systems, etc.
Managing physical system elements such as RAM, HDD, etc.
Performing OS monitoring level support.
Tracking capacity thresholds across servers and if the defined thresholds are breached; Analyzing & notifying to management for capacity expansion for components like CPU, Memory, I/ O, Disk space & NIC utilization.
Capacity planning of servers based on historical usage patterns and needs projections including replacement planning and obsolescence and end of life scenarios.
Tracking and implementing the OS and Security Patches, firmware versions etc.
Call logging / coordinating with OEM/L3 for support/ issue resolution and RUN operations.
Tracking and implementing changes in the cluster for proper failover and conduct HA failover testing.
Maintaining/updating all platforms, Inventory of Live & deactivated servers for Capacity Planning & periodic reporting for management or other stakeholders as required.
Monitoring/maintaining high-availability and clustering.
Coordinating with various teams for smooth functionality during BCP/mock/releases/contingency exercises and all associated activities.
Creating/ Modifying/ Deleting User, User groups, User profiles, etc.
Managing user access rights.
Managing username/ passwords.
Creating/ Maintaining Active directories, Domains, Volumes, RAID parameters etc.
Managing the active directory services.
Deploying patches, service packs, bug fix in test & live environment.
Providing proactive updates for equipment(hardware/software) based on OEM rollouts.
Performing procedures for decommissioning of servers such as failover test, etc.
Creating/maintaining documentation on know-how for all activities and periodically reviewing for currency and obtaining approvals wherever required.
Collecting data and preparing reports for regulatory, internal and other ad-hoc reporting and activities such as audits, etc.
Manage & Perform RUN operations for VMWare based private cloud setup
Designing and provisioning virtualized infrastructure including BCP failover configurations and management.
Performing migration activities such as migration from physical instance to virtual instance, virtual instance to virtual instance and virtual instance to physical instance.
Performing RUN operations like administration, management, starting/stopping of VMs, cloning of VMs, etc.
Providing proactive updates for virtualized environments based on OEM rollouts.
Performing migration activities as part of platform upgrades/updates, etc.
Managing and maintaining virtual machine snapshot trees/subtrees as per requirement.
Managing and maintaining end-user access for virtualized environments.
Performing administration/configuration activities such as networking, VLAN Tagging, data store management, log file administration, etc.
Creating/maintaining documentation on know-how for all activities and periodically reviewing for currency and obtaining approvals wherever required.
Collecting data and preparing reports for regulatory, internal and other ad-hoc reporting and activities such as audits, etc.
