We are seeking an experienced

Windows AD & Multifactor Engineer

to join our team at the client location in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the Active Directory environment, implementing and supporting multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions, and ensuring adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.



The role requires hands-on expertise in

Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS/DHCP, and Identity Security controls

, along with exposure to

MFA solutions

such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD MFA), DUO, or Okta.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot

Windows Active Directory

infrastructure across multiple domains and sites. Create, configure, and manage

Group Policies (GPOs)

for security hardening, desktop management, and access control. Implement and manage

Multifactor Authentication (MFA)

solutions - preferably Microsoft Entra ID MFA or equivalent. Handle

user and group provisioning

,

OU structure management

, and

AD delegation

. Manage and troubleshoot

DNS, DHCP, and replication issues

within AD environments. Collaborate with Security and IAM teams to ensure AD hygiene and implement least-privilege principles. Perform

regular audits

of AD and MFA configurations to ensure compliance with organizational policies. Support

integration of applications and systems with AD and MFA

solutions. Maintain documentation, change records, and operational runbooks. Participate in

incident, problem, and change management

processes. Contribute to

automation and scripting

efforts using PowerShell for repetitive AD tasks.

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum

5+ years

of hands-on experience in

Windows Active Directory administration

. Strong experience with

Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

and

security policies

. Solid understanding of

DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, and authentication protocols

. Experience with

Multifactor Authentication solutions

(Microsoft Entra ID MFA, DUO, Okta, etc.). Knowledge of

PowerShell scripting

for automation and reporting. Experience working in

enterprise-scale AD environments

(multi-domain, hybrid setups). Familiarity with

Azure AD / Entra ID

, hybrid identity synchronization, and conditional access policies. Understanding of

Identity Governance and Access Control concepts

. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
