Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced WhatsApp Bot Developer to integrate our AI bot with the WhatsApp Business API. You will be responsible for handling the messaging layer, managing real-time communication with users, and calling backend APIs developed by another team to generate responses or trigger business logic. You will work closely with the Backend Developer, who provides the APIs for all core business logic. Your job is to orchestrate the flow of messages between WhatsApp and those APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and manage the WhatsApp Business API (Cloud API preferred). Receive incoming messages and pass user data to backend APIs. Manage message sessions, templates, opt-ins, and conversation states. Handle errors, retries, and fallbacks (e.g., human agent handover). Parse responses from backend API and format appropriate replies (text/media/buttons). Monitor delivery status, read receipts, and webhook events.

Pay: ?13,980.32 - ?64,054.30 per month

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
