Westernwear Fashion Designer - Export/Global Market

We are seeking a talented and

independent Westernwear Fashion Designer

who can handle the complete

design-to-sampling process

for global buyers--without production responsibilities.

Role Overview:

As a Westernwear Fashion Designer, you will own the

A to Z design development and final sampling

process for international trading orders. You'll work closely with global buyers, translate market trends into wearable designs, and deliver ready-to-produce samples that meet international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development (A to Z):

Research global westernwear trends and translate them into buyer-ready designs Create sketches, tech packs, and design specifications for sampling Develop color palettes, fabric recommendations, and trims selection

Sampling & Product Development:

Independently manage the entire sampling process from concept to final approval Coordinate with pattern makers, sample tailors, and fabric vendors Ensure samples meet international quality, fit, and finishing standards
?

Global Market Understanding:

Work with international buyers and understand their specific design requirements Adapt designs based on target markets (US, Europe, Middle East, etc.) Stay updated on global westernwear fashion trends and buyer preferences
?

Coordination (No Production Handling):

Liaise with internal teams for sampling timelines and approvals Present samples to buyers and incorporate feedback Maintain design documentation and sample archives

Must-Have Requirements:

Experience:

3-8 years in

westernwear fashion design

with exposure to

export/global markets

?

Expertise:

Strong command over

A to Z sampling process

(design ? tech pack ? sampling ? final approval)

?

Market Knowledge:

Understanding of international westernwear trends and buyer expectations

?

Software Skills:

Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW

?

Independence:

Ability to work autonomously and manage end-to-end design projects

?

Industry Background:

Prior experience in

export houses, garment trading companies, or international fashion brands

Nice-to-Have:

Experience working with specific global markets (US, UK, Europe, Middle East)

Knowledge of fabric sourcing and vendor coordination

Background in women's ethnic wear design (as the company also deals in ethnic wear)

Exposure to fashion forecasting and trend analysis tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
