Job Profile: Welfare Officer*
Role Overview:
The Welfare Officer will play a pivotal role in promoting and ensuring the well-being of our employees. This position requires a compassionate and proactive individual who can effectively manage employee welfare programs, maintain compliance with statutory regulations, and foster a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, labour welfare, or industrial relations, with a deep understanding of labour laws and employee engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Employee Welfare:
- Develop and implement welfare programs that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
- Organize training sessions, workshops, and engagement activities to promote a positive work environment.
2. Industrial Relations:
- Maintain harmonious industrial relations by addressing employee grievances promptly and effectively.
- Liaise with union representatives and management to resolve conflicts and negotiate agreements.
3. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all statutory welfare policies and labour laws.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between employees and management for welfare-related issues.
- Liaise with government bodies and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
5. Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of welfare activities, employee grievances, and compliance audits.
- Prepare and submit reports on welfare initiatives and outcomes to management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setup.
- Diploma/Degree in Social Work, Labour Welfare, or Industrial Relations.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, safety regulations, and statutory welfare requirements.
- Proficiency in Hindi and Punjabi is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to organize and manage welfare programs and employee engagement activities.
- Experience in liaising with government bodies and regulatory agencies.
