The Welfare Manager will be responsible for ensuring the overall wellbeing, safety, and support of students and staff. She will play a key role in addressing welfare concerns, managing student-related issues, and fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:Student Welfare & Support
Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support to students as needed.
Address student grievances, concerns, and wellbeing issues promptly.
Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and overall conduct.
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in handling student personal matters.
Liaise with teachers and parents to support students' welfare and development.
Safety & Wellbeing Management
Ensure compliance with all school safety and child protection policies.
Conduct regular checks of school premises to ensure a safe environment.
Coordinate health and hygiene awareness initiatives for students.
Work closely with the school counsellor, medical room, and discipline team.
Parent Communication & Coordination
Act as a point of contact for parents regarding student welfare concerns.
Provide timely updates to parents on significant student issues.
Organise parent meetings for welfare-related discussions or interventions.
Staff & Administrative Support
Assist staff in handling student behaviour or welfare-related challenges.
Support in planning school events, welfare drives, and awareness campaigns.
Maintain detailed documentation of welfare cases, interventions, and follow-ups.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure adherence to school policies, government guidelines, and safeguarding norms.
Prepare regular reports for management on welfare activities, concerns, and trends.
Maintain accurate and confidential welfare records.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
Prior experience in student welfare, counselling, or school administration preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
