Job Purpose

• Will work in Manufacturing plant for Welding(manual/Orbital) subsea distribution products per specified industry standards

• Help in maintenance activities of all equipment, help in improving shop floor facilities and procedures.
• Fitment for welding, basic assembly, torqueing as needed
• Material handling of different products 5 ton

Key Interactions

Reports to: Production Manager/Supervisor
Internal interactions with : manufacturing engineers, assembly technicians, Plumbers, welders, production planners, Quality, Warehouse.



Typical Profile

• ITI/ Diploma/SSC
• Minimum 5-8 Years of professional practice of welding
• GTAW welding Process is must. (Manual / Automatic)
• Experience in Stainless steel, Inconel & Super Duplex material welding.
• Small bore tubing(up to 2" dia and 3 mm thk) welding experience is preferable.
• Orbital Welding experience will be added Advantage.
• Must possess a clear understanding of Mig & Arc welding processes.
• Must have experience in performing Mig & Arc welding without any supervision.
• Must have experience in operating electrically operated orbital welding machine.
• Must have experience in operating hand-held torches, grinders and other technical implements to assemble or repair metal components.

• Previous Experience in Oil and Gas product pressure testing, Aerospace, Automobile is preferable

90% Physical work, 10% leading others/ Documentation/communication etc



General Requirements

• Must possess a clear understanding of general math & have the ability to read, write & comprehend written and spoken English.
• Ability to understand technical drawings, BOM (Bill of Material), Operation & Maintenance procedures, Quality & Safety Documents.
• Ability to use computer or workstation. Should have basic knowledge in Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Educational qualification is not an essential criteria for the scrutinization of appropriate candidate. If the candidate is having relevant experience for performing the task we are looking for there is no concern about the educational back ground. Even if the candidate has not passed SSC, still acceptable.

Main accountabilities(Be-Do- Have Skills)

• Good interaction skills with internal and external customers
• Able to read and interpret assembly and test procedures and work with tools and materials necessary to meet the schedules are on hand prior to the test start dates.
• Collects, records and maintains welding maps, weld logs and Project documentation
• Provides ideas and helps in their execution for lean implementation
• Works in accordance with health and safety procedures. Proactively identifies hazards and comes up with suitable solutions.
• In performing their duties, welders read and interpret schematics to determine the configuration and specification of a structure, define sequence of welding operations
• Use marking tools such as combination square, straightedges, and calipers to lay out and align work pieces.
• Use Measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to inspect angles, grooves or gap allowances.
• Perform the installation, commissioning & maintenance of orbital welding and other similar welding machine.
• Perform weld inspections , control and adjust quality of output in line with specifications
