The Welding Supervisor (Fresher) will support daily welding and fabrication activities, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and assist in meeting production targets under the guidance of senior supervisors and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in supervising day-to-day welding and fabrication activities on the shop floor.
Support allocation of work to welders as per production plans and instructions.
Read and understand basic mechanical drawings, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
Assist in identifying welding defects and coordinating corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to safety guidelines, PPE usage, and shop-floor discipline.
Coordinate with Production and Quality teams during inspections and approvals.
Maintain basic records related to welding work, manpower, and daily production.
Support senior supervisors in improving welding productivity and workmanship.
Encourage and guide welders to follow standard welding procedures and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
Basic knowledge of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
Understanding of basic manufacturing and fabrication processes.
Welding-related certification will be an added advantage.
Experience Requirements
Fresher or up to 1 year of experience
in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Practical exposure to welding during diploma training, apprenticeship, or internship is preferred.
Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
Willingness to learn welding standards, quality practices, and safety norms.
Skills & Competencies
Good learning attitude and willingness to work on the shop floor.
Basic communication and coordination skills.
Attention to quality, safety, and detail.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions from senior staff.
Working Conditions
