The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing welding processes, ensuring the quality of stainless steel welding used in dairy equipment, and maintaining compliance with food-grade industry standards. This role requires expertise in sanitary welding, stainless steel fabrication, and process piping to support the production of high-quality dairy processing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for stainless steel fabrication used in dairy processing equipment.
Ensure all welding work complies with food-grade industry standards such as
3A Dairy Standards, ASME BPE, and AWS D18.1 for sanitary welding
.
Select appropriate welding techniques (TIG, MIG, orbital welding, etc.) and materials for dairy industry applications.
Conduct welding inspections and ensure adherence to strict hygiene and quality control standards.
Collaborate with design, production, and automation teams to improve welding processes for dairy machinery and piping systems.
Train and guide welders in sanitary welding best practices, emphasizing smooth welds to prevent contamination.
Monitor welding performance and address any defects or non-compliance issues through corrective actions.
Maintain detailed records of welding procedures, material certifications, and inspection reports.
Ensure compliance with
GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and other food safety regulations
related to welded components.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
.
4-5Years of experience in welding engineering, preferably in the dairy, food, or pharmaceutical industry
.
Strong expertise in welding
stainless steel (SS304 & SS316L)
and sanitary piping systems.
Knowledge of
TIG welding, orbital welding, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods
.
Familiarity with
sanitary design principles and food safety requirements
.
Ability to interpret welding codes and standards such as
ASME BPE, AWS D18.1, and 3A Sanitary Standards
.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Experience with
welding automation and robotic welding
is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Experience in
dairy plant equipment fabrication
(e.g., milk tanks, pasteurizers, piping, and CIP systems).
Knowledge of
corrosion resistance, heat treatment, and material selection for dairy applications
