? Support the business during client & 3rd party audits, ensuring compliance with BS EN ISO 3834-2 & BS EN 1090-2.

Parent Material(s) specifications and weld joint properties
Quality requirements for welding operations/deposited welds.
Specifications of welding procedures in accordance with BS EN ISO 15614 & ASME IX, non-destructive test procedures and heat treatment procedures.
Welding techniques, procedures and application of welding equipment.
Qualification and monitoring of personnel in accordance with BS EN ISO 9606, BS EN ISO 14732 & ASME IX.
Organise independent inspection/verification when required by a project.
Technical Queries, Production Permits, Concessions & NCRs.
Sub-contractor specifications and approval of suppliers for weld related activities.
Monitoring of welding equipment and maintenance.
? Direct and co-ordinate technical personnel in performing welding inspections to ensure workers compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions and standards; in testing welds for conformance with national code requirements; testing welding personnel for certification.
? Develop welding techniques, procedures and applications of welding equipment and processes for problem solving involving fabrication of metals, utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys and engineering/manufacturing principles.
? Evaluate new developments and technologies in welding for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.
? Perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques and metals.
? Implement & oversee auditing of welding personnel engaged in company activities.

? Provide Engineering support through manufacturability reviews to ensure a weldment design is robust and underpinned as suitable for manufacture.
? Support and input to Business Development activity to gain sales through attendance at client meetings and appropriate industry events. Providing engineering support to the tender process, ensuring the delivery strategy is robust and underpinned and risks/opportunities are identified, mitigated/optimised. Provide estimates and programmes as required to support this tendering process.
