Responsibilities

Reading and Interpreting Drawings:

Analyzing technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to understand project specifications and ensure proper alignment of parts.

Material Preparation:

Laying out, positioning, and securing metal components and assemblies using various tools like squares, calipers, and rulers.

Welding:

Performing different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, etc.) to join metal pieces together, including tack-welding, to secure them for further assembly.

Fitting and Assembly:

Assembling and installing machinery, pipes, valves, and other equipment, ensuring tight tolerances and proper functionality.

Equipment Maintenance:

Performing planned maintenance, diagnosing faults, and repairing worn parts on machinery and welding equipment to ensure efficiency.

Quality Control:

Inspecting welded surfaces and structures for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.

Safety Procedures:

Adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing routine checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, responding to emergency breakdowns, and making necessary repairs.

Record Keeping:

Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and maintenance activities.

Collaboration:

Working effectively with team members to meet project schedules and production deadlines.
