Job Description

1. Welding & Fabrication

Perform

MIG and TIG welding

on frames, tanks, piping systems, heat exchangers, brackets, and enclosure parts used in air dryer assemblies. Weld

S.S. 304/316, MS, and aluminum

as per job requirements. Read and interpret

engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication sketches

. Prepare parts by grinding, cutting, fitting, and aligning components before welding. Ensure proper penetration, bead appearance, and strength of weld joints.

2. Quality & Inspection

Inspect welded joints visually and using basic testing tools (e.g., gauges, calipers). Perform leak testing, air-tight weld checks, and quality verification required for

pressure vessels or high-pressure air systems

. Maintain compliance with company quality standards and relevant welding codes.

3. Equipment Handling

Operate welding machines, gas cylinders, grinders, cutting tools, and fabrication equipment safely. Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding machines. Ensure proper storage and handling of consumables (filler rods, wire, gases).

4. Safety

Follow workplace safety guidelines, PPE requirements, and safe handling of high-pressure components. Adhere to welding safety standards (fire protection, ventilation, gas handling, electrical safety).

5. Collaboration

Coordinate with production supervisors and fabrication teams to meet daily targets. Provide feedback on design improvements to enhance manufacturability and weld quality.

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills

Proven experience in

MIG and TIG welding

(2-5 years preferred). Ability to weld

thin sheets and precision components

used in air dryer assemblies. Knowledge of

welding parameters, filler materials, shielding gases

, and joint preparation. Ability to read

engineering drawings and welding symbols

.

Education

ITI / Diploma in Welding, Fabrication, Mechanical, or related field. Certified welder (optional but preferred).

Personal Competencies

Attention to detail. Good hand-eye coordination. Commitment to safety and quality. Team player with strong work ethics.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work in standing positions for long durations. Ability to lift components (within safe limits). Good eyesight and steady hands.
