Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components by interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. The Welder/Fitter must demonstrate expertise in welding, fitting, and metalworking techniques to ensure high-quality, durable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication and Assembly:

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications using appropriate tools and techniques.

Welding:

Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc, etc.) on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Ensure all welds meet quality standards and adhere to safety regulations.

Inspection and Quality Control:

Conduct regular inspections of fabricated and assembled components to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy. Identify and address defects, warping, or other imperfections in welded structures.

Repair and Maintenance:

Repair and maintain metal structures and components as required. Use grinding, sanding, and polishing tools to achieve desired finishes.

Tool and Equipment Handling:

Operate and maintain welding machines, cutting torches, grinders, and other fabrication equipment. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools are stored securely and equipment is in proper working order.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all workplace safety procedures and protocols. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety guidelines to minimize risks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or in a similar role. Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding. Strong understanding of metal fabrication, fitting, and assembly processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with tools and equipment used in welding and fabrication. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Physical fitness to lift, carry, and position heavy materials. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures. [Optional] Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.

Working Conditions:
