Read and interpret
blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols
Set up and operate welding equipment, including adjusting gas flow, voltage, and wire feed speed
Inspect welds for
quality, accuracy, and defects
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces
Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper safety procedures are followed
Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to meet project specifications
Conduct
leak detection tests
and other quality assurance procedures
Weld in multiple positions: flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
