Perform welding operations (Arc, Gas, MIG/TIG as applicable) for maintenance and repair of plant machinery and structures.
Carry out fabrication, cutting, grinding, and fitting jobs as per maintenance requirements.
Attend breakdown maintenance and emergency repair work to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret basic drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
Ensure proper maintenance of welding machines, tools, and accessories.
Follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and plant safety guidelines at all times.
Coordinate with maintenance technicians and engineers during preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
Record work done and report issues to the maintenance supervisor.
Support shutdown maintenance activities as required.
