Welder will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating and welding Mild steel, aluminum and stainless-steel components using various shop equipment and tools, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and interpret the fabrication & Assembly drawings
Tagging of basement frame within drawing parameters.
Align components precisely using callipers, rulers, etc., and perform welding operations using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
Conduct testing and inspections of welded surfaces and structures to identify any flaws or imperfections.
Day to Day responsibilities:
Fabricate and weld components ( MS/SS/AL) according to specified layouts, engineering drawings.
Maintain accurate daily records as required.
Safely operate and use a variety of shop equipment and tools, including forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools.
Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
Fill daily production report accurately and in a timely manner.
Work independently based on drawings and documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
Min 4 - 6 years of experience as a MIG/TIG welder/Fitter in Heavy Fabrication.
