Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW tools. Weld metal components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Inspect completed welds for quality, precision, and compliance with specifications. Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to design requirements. Perform cutting, grinding, and finishing operations to prepare or complete welds. Conduct routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions. Follow all company safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and industry best practices. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to meet production deadlines. Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspections completed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a welder or relevant technical training. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick welding, or other processes depending on role requirements. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols. Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Knowledge of metallurgy, welding safety standards, and fabrication techniques. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred but not always required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in fabrication, c manufacturing, or industrial environments. Multi-process welding abilities. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
