Responsible for performing various types of welding and fabrication work in the construction, repair, and maintenance of ships and marine structures as per approved drawings, standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out welding activities (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW) on steel and aluminum materials used in ship structures.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Prepare materials and joints, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up before welding.
Conduct visual inspection of welds and ensure quality standards are met as per class requirements.
Work closely with fitters, fabricators, and supervisors to complete assembly and installation tasks.
Follow safety procedures, including the use of PPE and compliance with hot work permits.
Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
Assist in ship block fabrication, hull assembly, and structural modifications as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant trade certification.
2-5 years of experience in the shipbuilding or heavy fabrication industry.
Proficiency in SMAW, MIG, or TIG welding with valid welding certification (preferred).
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Knowledge of safety standards in marine and offshore environments.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
