Carry out fabrication and repair work on pipelines, conveyors, tanks, chutes, structural supports, and mechanical equipment.
Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
Prepare work pieces by cutting, beveling, grinding, and cleaning prior to welding.
Ensure weld quality meets plant standards and inspection requirements (visual inspection, NDT coordination if required).
Maintain welding machines, electrodes, gas cylinders, and consumables in safe working condition.
Coordinate with fitters, riggers, maintenance technicians, and engineers during shutdowns and breakdowns.
Support planned maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency repair activities.
Execute maintenance welding on critical refinery equipment such as digesters, calciners, heat exchangers, pumps, and pressure lines (as applicable).
Follow hot work permit systems, confined space procedures, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices.
