Job Purpose:

To carry out welding operations on steel structures, components, and machinery as per required specifications, ensuring strong, defect-free joints and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding tasks using appropriate welding processes such as:

MIG (Metal Inert Gas)

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)

Arc Welding (SMAW)

Gas Cutting and Brazing

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Prepare surfaces and materials for welding by cleaning, aligning, clamping, and tacking. Inspect and measure welds to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment as per standards. Repair or rework defective welds using appropriate techniques. Use hand tools, grinders, and power tools safely and efficiently. Ensure compliance with welding procedures and safety guidelines (PPE, fire protection, ventilation). Maintain welding equipment in proper working condition and report maintenance needs. Work with maintenance and fabrication teams for equipment repair and structural work. Maintain proper documentation of work completed and materials used. Adhere to quality standards like AWS, ASME, or ISO (if applicable).

Key Requirements:

ITI / Diploma in Welding Technology or equivalent trade certification. 2-8 years of hands-on welding experience in a steel plant, fabrication shop, or heavy industry.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?45,000.00 per month
