Job Title: Welder & Fitter

Eligibility:

Gender: Male

Qualification: ITI in Welder / Fitter or equivalent certification

Experience: Minimum 3 years

Skills Required:

Expertise in welding (ARC/MIG/TIG), cutting, and fabrication Knowledge of metal fitting, assembly, grinding, and finishing Ability to read sketches, welding symbols, and basic engineering drawings Strong understanding of safety standards and proper use of welding tools

The Welder & Fitter is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, fitting, and repair work on metal structures, equipment, rides, pipelines, frames, and components. The role ensures high-quality workmanship, strict adherence to safety practices, and timely completion of maintenance and fabrication tasks required by the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Welding & Fabrication Work

Perform various welding operations (ARC/MIG/TIG) as required. Fabricate and assemble metal structures, frames, brackets, supports, and components. Cut, shape, and join metal parts using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure weld quality meets strength, alignment, and finishing standards.

2. Fitting & Assembly

Fit, install, and align metal components for equipment, rides, and support structures. Assist in repairing or modifying metal parts, pipelines, and mechanical fittings. Perform grinding, cutting, drilling, and finishing work to support fitting activities.

3. Maintenance & Repair

Conduct repair work on damaged frames, joints, railings, and structural components. Support maintenance teams during breakdowns involving metal parts or assemblies. Perform preventive checks on welded structures and fittings to ensure safety.

4. Safety & Compliance

Follow all welding and hot-work safety standards, including PPE usage. Ensure proper handling of welding machines, gas cylinders, and tools. Maintain a safe and clean work environment to avoid hazards.

5. Documentation & Coordination

Report daily tasks, completed work, and material requirements to supervisors. Coordinate with maintenance, mechanical, and operations teams for work priorities. Maintain accuracy in welding logs, repair records, and fabrication documentation.
