The Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques, ensuring strong, precise, and quality welds according to drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, ARC, or gas welding as required
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces
Inspect welded joints to ensure quality and compliance with standards
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Repair and rework defective welds when necessary
Requirements
ITI / Diploma in Welding or equivalent
Proven experience as a welder
Knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards
Ability to read technical drawings
Physically fit and detail-oriented
