The role requires expertise in water resources engineering, hydraulic design, structural analysis, and site execution to ensure timely and quality completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and supervise the construction of
weirs, barrages, regulators, and associated hydraulic structures
.
Conduct
hydraulic and structural analysis
to ensure stability, safety, and functionality of water control structures.
Review and interpret
drawings, designs, and technical specifications
in accordance with project requirements.
Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with
design, quality, safety standards, and environmental regulations
.
Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and project managers for smooth project execution.
Perform
hydrological and geotechnical assessments
relevant to weir and barrage construction.
Monitor progress, prepare reports, and resolve technical challenges at site.
Ensure proper installation of gates, hoisting arrangements, energy dissipation devices, and related hydraulic components.
Prepare
estimates, BOQs, and cost control measures
for project execution.
Assist in operation and maintenance planning for completed hydraulic structures.
Ensure adherence to
government regulations, water resource management guidelines, and safety codes
.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Civil Engineering
; Master's degree in Water Resources / Hydraulic Engineering preferred.
5-15 years of experience
in design and execution of irrigation, weir, barrage, or dam projects.
Strong knowledge of
hydrology, hydraulics, reinforced concrete structures, and river training works
.
Proficiency in
engineering software
such as STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, MIKE-11, or similar.
Experience in
construction supervision, project management, and quality assurance
.
Familiarity with
IS codes, IRC standards, and CWC guidelines
related to hydraulic structures.
Skills Required:
