Role Overview
We are looking for a
Wedding Planner
who is creative, organized, and detail-oriented. The role involves working closely with couples to understand their vision, curating design concepts, coordinating with vendors, and managing the wedding day execution. The ideal candidate should have a good eye for aesthetics, be comfortable with design software, and be willing to get hands-on during event operations.
Key Responsibilities
Meet and consult with couples to understand their wedding vision, style preferences, and budget.
Develop and present design concepts: mood boards, colour palettes, decor themes, and layout plans.
Translate client ideas into detailed designs in collaboration with decorators, florists, and other vendors.
Use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Sketch, Canva) to create mockups, proposals, and visual presentations.
Coordinate venue visits, site inspections, and vendor meetings.
Manage vendor relationships: negotiate contracts, get quotes, and ensure timely delivery.
Plan logistics: timelines, checklists, seating plans, event flow, and on-day coordination.
Be present on the wedding day to oversee setup, vendor coordination, and ceremony execution.
Manage budget tracking, cost estimates, and invoicing.
Provide post-event analysis, feedback to clients, and maintain follow-up for future business or referrals.
(Preferred) Assist with social media content: help ideate and design Instagram posts, reels, or Pinterest boards to showcase weddings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Freshers to 6 years in wedding planning, event management, or a related role.
Design & Aesthetics:
Strong sense of design, colour theory, and the ability to translate a concept into a visual reality.
Software Skills:
Proficiency or working knowledge in design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, Procreate, Canva, etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, with strong project-management and multitasking ability.
Attention to detail, especially with timelines, checklists, and vendor deliverables.
Ability to work under pressure, especially on wedding days (weekends may be required).
Basic budgeting and financial planning experience.
Client-focused mindset and a calm, professional demeanor.
Preferred:
Social media skills -- understanding of content creation, Instagram, Pinterest, or other wedding/design-oriented platforms.
