is responsible for designing, planning, and executing the visual aesthetic of a wedding event. This role involves creating cohesive decor themes, selecting and arranging decorative elements, and ensuring that the wedding venue is beautifully set up according to the couple's vision. Wedding Decorators work closely with clients, wedding planners, florists, and venue staff to deliver a stress-free and visually stunning wedding experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning
Consult with clients to understand their style, theme, vision, and budget.
Develop design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and layout ideas.
Suggest themes, decor styles, materials, and decor options.
Conduct venue visits to evaluate space, lighting, and layout requirements.
Decor Selection & Coordination
Choose appropriate decor items such as floral arrangements, drapery, lighting, centerpieces, furniture, backdrops, aisle decor, linens, and signage.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers (florists, lighting teams, rental companies, etc.).
Order, rent, or source all decor materials needed for the event.
Event Setup & Execution
Oversee and participate in the setup and installation of all decor elements before the event.
Ensure decor is arranged safely, efficiently, and according to the approved design.
Make on-site adjustments as needed to ensure aesthetic quality.
Breakdown and remove decor after the event, ensuring the venue is restored to required condition.
Client & Vendor Communication
Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the planning process.
Provide accurate cost estimates, budgets, and proposals.
Work collaboratively with wedding planners, photographers, caterers, and venue coordinators.
Quality Control & Problem-Solving
Ensure decor aligns with client expectations and industry standards.
Address last-minute changes or issues during setup.
Manage timelines and ensure tasks are completed before guests arrive.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong creativity and eye for design, color, and aesthetics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage time, multitask, and work under pressure.
Knowledge of decor trends, floral arrangements, lighting options, and event styling.
Physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and installing decor items.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Experience in event decoration, event planning, interior design, or related fields is preferred.
