Website Developer

with strong

WordPress experience

and solid knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies to create custom, responsive, and user-friendly websites.

Position Summary:

The

Website Developer

will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing websites, primarily on

WordPress

, but also occasionally across other frameworks depending on client needs. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, an eye for design, and the ability to problem-solve across multiple web environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and landing pages using

WordPress (custom themes and builders like Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.)

Customize themes, plugins, and core WordPress functions based on client or project needs. Translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into fully functional web pages. Maintain website security, performance, and mobile responsiveness. Implement SEO best practices (in collaboration with SEO/marketing team). Troubleshoot website issues, perform bug fixes, and manage updates and backups. Collaborate with designers, project managers, marketers, and other developers on internal and client projects. Integrate third-party APIs, e-commerce systems (WooCommerce), and CRM tools as needed. Maintain clean, well-documented code and follow version control protocols (Git preferred). Assist in migrating websites between servers or environments (staging, production).

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of professional experience in website development. Proficient in

WordPress

, including custom theme and plugin development. Strong knowledge of

HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL

. Familiarity with page builders such as

Elementor, Divi, WPBakery

, etc. Experience integrating tools like

Google Analytics, SEO plugins (Yoast, Rank Math), Mailchimp, HubSpot

, etc. Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, page speed optimization, and accessibility (WCAG). Ability to manage multiple website projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Solid understanding of hosting environments (cPanel, Cloudflare, CDN, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in BCA, B.Tech or related field. Experience working in an agency or client-facing development role. Familiarity with

WooCommerce

or other e-commerce platforms. Experience with headless CMS, REST APIs, or JAMstack architecture is a plus. Understanding of security best practices for WordPress. Basic design skills using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
