The Website Consultant is responsible for analysing client requirements, auditing existing websites, and recommending solutions to improve design, functionality, SEO performance, and overall online presence. This role combines technical expertise, marketing strategy, and UI/UX knowledge to help clients achieve measurable digital outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assess and audit existing websites for design quality, usability, performance, and SEO effectiveness. Develop customized website strategies aligned with the client's brand goals and digital marketing objectives. Recommend suitable platforms, technologies, and integrations (e.g., CMS, e-commerce systems, analytics tools). Work closely with developers, designers, and marketing teams to oversee website planning, development, and launch. Create wireframes, sitemaps, and content outlines to improve navigation and user flow. Advise on responsive design principles, accessibility compliance, and optimization for mobile and desktop devices . Recommend SEO best practices, site speed improvements, and content optimization strategies. Provide ongoing website maintenance guidance and performance reports using analytics tools. Support digital marketing initiatives such as lead generation, conversion tracking, and UI-based A/B testing. Stay updated on web technologies, design trends, and security standards to enhance client recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Digital Marketing, or related field. Proven experience as a Website Consultant, Web Strategist, Web Analyst, or similar role. Proficiency in CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, etc.) and website performance tools (Google Analytics, Genetrix, etc.). Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, UX/UI principles, SEO tactics, and website usability standards. Excellent communication, client presentation, and project management skills. Ability to translate business goals into functional web strategies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with e-commerce platforms and conversion optimization. Familiarity with website security practices and GDPR compliance. Certification in Google Analytics, SEO, or Digital Marketing is a plus.
